World Mental Health Day

This morning, Mr Duncombe delivered an assembly on the importance of mental health in honour of World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10th October. The aim of the assembly was to raise awareness of mental health issues and to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness. With mental health issues affecting 8% of children aged 8-10 and 12% of those aged 11-16, Mr Duncombe urged the girls to reflect on how we, as a school community, can help those suffering from mental health problems. We encourage girls to talk to a friend, teacher or member of staff if they are concerned about their mental wellbeing.
